A Bit About Me
Everybody has a story, and I am no different. I am an educator by trade, holding a doctorate degree in educational leadership. I am a college professor and the head of school of a small private Christian school in Mississippi. So, why photography? Several years ago, I went on a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, with several friends. Before this trip, I bought a small Nikon point-and-shoot camera to capture the memories of this trip. When I returned home, I uploaded my photos to Facebook, no editing/retouching, etc., and within a week, a received a message from a lady asking if I would consider being the photographer at her wedding. I immediately told her I felt inadequate and did not have the equipment for it, but she insisted, so I accepted the offer. She took a huge risk, but her pictures turned out beautifully.

After that, I upgraded my camera equipment to a Nikon Coolpix point-and-shoot camera and continued doing what I love! It is with this camera that I also began taking close-up photos of the moon. Nonetheless, this little camera was far from what I truly needed to capture action photography at sporting events. So, I upgraded again to a Nikon D7000 with multiple lenses for different occasions. After a few years of using this camera, I upgraded once again to a Nikon D7500, and this is the camera I currently use. I still use the D7000, and I still capture moon photos with my Nikon Coolpix.
